The Cocktail Service

I have worked with Nick, Tom, Casey and the gang at The Cocktail Service since the very beginning of their brand over a decade ago… It’s always been fun, challenging and more importantly alcoholic!

Nick asked me to create a suite of cool evocative character illustrations for their new pre-mixed bottled ‘The Cocktail Club’ brand.

We produced some very fun and quirky little guys which you can see here.

“A huge part of launching a new product is defining its brand identity. Laurence took the creative brief for the launch of our Bottled Cocktail range and smashed it out the park! He delivered, with a very tight lead time, four incredible illustrations that now form our brand identity and define our products. He nailed the brief and created fun, engaging illustrations that bring our cocktails to life and make them truly stand out in a crowded market place. Sometimes I feel very lucky to do what I do - working with ambitious and driven small businesses like N Scott Autos is definitely one of those times. I have been able to help Lowri and Nathan bring their ideas to life in their very cool garage, spray and body shop.

We’re also working on some awesome merch too, watch this space!

“Aside from being a very talented artist, which is obvious to anyone who has seen his work, we found working with Laurence genuinely creatively inspiring. He is one of those rare people who seems to see with absolute and frankly somewhat unnerving clarity what it is you're trying to create and just 'gets it'.

The first time he came to visit our garage to meet with us in person and see the space ahead of hand drawing some superb large scale automobilia art on our garage walls, we chatted for around 30 minutes and left buzzing with ideas and a new perspective, clarity and confidence around our whole brand.

No idea is a crazy idea when you're with Laurence - he cultures such a creatively safe space, you know you can voice your ideas without any fear of judgement and he just rolls with it and gently expands and steers the conversation to the extent that we had a whole years marketing strategy mapped out after just having a short meeting with him. His energy and vision is contagious.

Laurence encouraged us to truly be ourselves and not shy away from what we are (not a massive dealership but a local, honest, family garage). With a relatively modest budget, he explored ways we can maximise our marketing budget impact, designing local marketing materials and associated merchandise which have been so beneficial and invigorating to our business, we have already gained new customers as a result. The investment in his work has already paid off.

We're looking forward to continuing to work with him long-term and creating some very cool things together.”

Belushi’s Bars

It’s awesome working with such a great brand as Belushi’s, grungy dive bars are my happy place.

I have been sign-writing for the brand for many years now, it takes me all over the country - from Camden to Bath and Edinburgh to Greenwich, there’s never a dull moment down at Belushi’s.
